Glue Down Vinyl Plank and Tile

These products feature a vinyl body with a printed design which is coated with a wear layer of urethane which can be enhanced with various hardeners such as aluminum oxide, or ceramic bead. They are designed to be glued to the substrate they are covering and require a pressure sensitive adhesive be used for proper adhesion.

Floating Vinyl Plank and Tile

Similar to the glue down version, these products feature a vinyl core with a printed design and a urethane wear layer. However, these are designed to interlock and “float” over the substrate they are covering to allow for an overall more simple installation. These are also offered with Wood Plastic Composite (“WPC”) core or Stone Plastic Composite (“SPC”) core, which enhances the rigidity, durability, and dimensional stability of the material. They are also offered with or without pre-attached padding to help reduce noise levels once they have been installed.

Sheet Vinyl

Another option is Sheet Vinyl. Manufactured as one solid, continuous roll of flooring, sheet vinyl can be installed seamlessly, making it a good choice for moisture-prone rooms like bathrooms. 3D printing technology has made it possible for vinyl flooring to be manufactured with extreme depth and realism, closely mimicking the beauty of hardwood, tile, and stone.
